i was asked to feedback to tescoviews.com for a possible chance of a prize..... the website does not exist

I shop at Tesco Cradley Heath West Midlands, The management there need training on how to conduct themselves with their staff, and in front of customers. Yet again today, I heard staff being 'talked down to' by , management, while I and others were by them. This does not bode well for staff relations. A lot of negative energy!! [Mrs I Smith]

Tesco, Chester-le-Street, I shop at this Tesco most days, there are some lovely staff in this shop Irene and Marian are two that stand out nothing is to much trouble to them, the one downfall of the shop is the customer service staff they are to busy talking amongst themselves which leaves queues waiting to be served.

I was in Tesco yesterday and was asked to comment on a site to receive 25 clubcard points and a chance to win £500 tesco gift card as far as i can see this site does not exist, i shop at Chester-Le-Street tesco most weeks. Just read the comment above and totally agree i avoid the customer service counter the girls are to busy giggling and talking amongst themselves to be bothered to serve people.

Chester-le-Street Teso was given this card today to receive 25 points and a chance to win a tesco gift card but all i can find is this, i shop in tesco most days on my way home from work the shop is great apart from customer services where you have to buy your tabs from the girls like to chat causing very long queues, could the tab conter not be seperated from customer services.

Your checkout assistant gave me a feedback card with the number 5856 on it and invited me to air my views on lie so here I am. I live in chesterfield and we are all disgusted with TESCO'S decision to close the Barlborough warehouse with the loss of 400 jobs, and move the operation to the south of england.
We have decided since tesco has deserted chesterfield that we are going to reciprocate by taking our business to Morrisons and Sainsbury's.

I would like to know what tesco policy is on a customer talking to a member of staff, as i would like to tell everyone what happened to a cleaner in the Chester-le-street shop, a cleaner was working his usual Saturday morning shift when a family friend stopped and asked how his children were, the manager of the shop started shouting in the shop at the cleaner and customer saying they were talking about her, the customer tried explaining to her but she wasnt having any of it, bare in mind this is the main manager of the shop, shouting and balling and to make matters worse the cleaner losses his job and Sandra is not even repremanded absolutely DISGUSTING TESCO.

Anonymous said...

i can also relate to the comment above about sandra the manager at chester store. the way she goes on at staff and customers is disgusting and i find it appauling a young lad can loose his job because she 'thought' someone was talking about her!! yet she can get away with shouting at customers and not one thing happen to her disgusting!! i will NEVER shop with tescos again as when tryed to put a complaint in was said someone would get back to me im still waiting!!!

Anonymous said...

commenting on the above 2 comments, i would like to add i know the lad in question he now has no job and 2 small children,TESCO NEED TO GET THIS SORTED, Sandra was the one at fault and nothing is said rto her, this is outrageous and a manager should no better, Sandra needs to be seriously repremanded for her behaviour and is not managerial material, SIMPLE AS

I shopped at Tesco North Shields for many years but became disalusioned with them when they cut the quantity of sweets from 250g to 200g but charged the same price. They stopped supplying Organic white bread and reduced the "Ferry rewards from 4 times to 3 times Why can't you do the same as Sainsburys and just add cashback points that can be used up at anytime? I now save up nectar points towards to ferry fares to Ireland. Today I shopped at Tesco in Bedlington and was given a feedback card number 5587

Anonymous said...

Chester-le-Street Tesco i was given a feedback card 2278 to do a survey and win points and this is what i find, well i have read the above comments and it is right what has been wrote Sandra is always shouting on the shop floor its not what customers want to see of hear and surely this lad will get reinstated he has a good case of unfair dismisal i would say, tesco get this sorted you cant have a bully for a manager.111 monygen

I shop at Tesco New Malden and was given a card to post comments, but cannot find the site!
The number on the card was 2934.
The assistant who served me was quite helpful but kept talking to a member of staff who was in the queue behind me. She forgot to do the cash back I had asked for so I couldnt get it, she also did not ask how many of my own bags I had, so these were not included in my points.

Lots of changes in Filey branch ,holiday makers start to arrive and need bottled water , hope the new manager never has empty shelves like in the past , When promotions for cutlery ,luggage and pyrex on you are lucky if you get a token and have to ask ,If you buy motives for electronic cigarettes you do not get points in Filey but buy them in Hornsea,Hull,York you will.

I shop in the Tesco in Northfield. The staff are always kind and I get on with them very well. especially one of the staff called Selvi. I think she stands out above all the others as she treats me like a friend and not a stranger.

I live across the road from TESCO Express in Kingswinford west Midlands. This store is amazing the most of the staff are so friendly and willing do anything for you. I have had problems recently when I bought a piece of sirloin steak which was awful( very unusual I might add) No questions asked the manager gave me my money back; superb service. Tesco Express Portishead.
Recently opened amist protests from the usual people who are againt Tesco. My personal feelings are we needed a Tesco within our community.
I had a bit of a run in with the manager of this store over returning chilled goods only to be told by him that he could not replace just because i brought smoked bacon instead of unsmoked embarassing me in front of the whole shop but once i contacted Tesco direct who were very helpful and advised me the manager was wrong i was refunded the cost of my purchase and the manager was advised as to tesco policy and has since personaly contacted me to appoligize for this incident and was now updated as to Tesco policy regarding return of chilled items.
I did wittness one day one of the BIG WIGS in the company suits harrassing one of the staff because as i could see she was not moving fast enough re stocking a lower shelf to which if he really cared about Health And Safety towards his staff he would have noticed that the staff member was trying to stack the shelf from an angle because there was a big stock trolly in the way instead of just trying to harrass the staff.
I have found all the staff to be happy, polite and very helpful towards me and to other customers when i have been in the store and have no moans or groans towards them thus showing the training from the store manager is on track WELL DONE

Your Ref: 6318
My Tesco Club Card No.is : 634004 0241 3410 8770. and would like to claim the 25 points promise on my feedback.
My comments are on the Cromer Road, Norwich branch :- very good, but we were disappointed when the shop reduced the number of lines stocked to make way for a wide range of bottled and canned drinks, which obviousely took up a great deal of space on the shelves, we would also like to see more variety of cheaper alternatives/options on many lines, we shop at this store regularly, but are obliged to shop elsewhere, when certain items are not available in the store.
Also, why does this branch not stock frozen turkeys at Christmas, even if only small ones ?

Give this card this morning in Tesco Express Little Sutton, went to website as instructed, All's there is there is this nonsensical gibberish. As for the store, it's handy for the papers and the old emergency item, but they are that short-staffed, if you are not using the self-service (if it's working) you generally have to wait for someone to stop restocking the shelves, and serve you.

Anonymous said...

Do not ever work for tescos if you're thinking of applying, its the most badly run supermarket ive ever seen, and the staff are rude and miserable, especially the younger ones, the mangers all think there very special and they treat staff like dirt....i could rant for ages about the vileness of tesco which i most likely will come back to do as i think people need to know what goes on behind that staff door. I have a motto for tesco and its simply 'f*** um'

Also Tesco in Walworth Road SE17 need to send the staff back to learn about Customer Care and ' How to pack a bag NOT just chuck it in and see if it breaks' There is only one nice lady (she has red hair) all the other staff don't care if they serve/speak to you or not.

Hi just wanted to write down the exseptional service I received at the Tesco express in botley Oxford I popped into grab my lunce because of a meeting on the area and was served by a very polite and helpful young man called Stephen who I noticed from my usual store st Aldates as usual he have me a warm welcome and made me feel a valued customer by going out the back to find a sandwhich that I wanted and and a brief chat informing me he had moved so explained to him it's a shame he's still not there.

Was in the Tesco st Aldates the other day to my disgust listening to who I believe to be the person in charge James speaking so rudely to staff and customers I really don't understand why Tesco employs some of there inexperienced in life lessons staff.

Why are Tesco handing out survey cards if the website does not exist? Because they do not want to hear customer views on poor quality, lack of choice and their track record of deceiving customers.

Anonymous said...

We have a new Tesco Express in Blackwater that opened a few months ago. I have handed in so many items where the sell by/use by date has long gone that I have stopped doing it. At a £5,000 fine per item you would think they would get their act together. Hopefully Trading Standards will pay them a visit.

I have NOT shopped at Tesco now for many months. I have decided to avoid it like the plague. The goods are over-priced, the staff down right rude (but I'm not surprised with the way Tesco treat them), the pay to local tesco express staff is apalling and Tesco are a shining example of how the small become big and loose sight of reality. Just like the government!!

Most of the staff at Tesco express at Yate are helpful and really friendly, it's a shame the ones with attitudes are still working there. Over a month ago my bag handle broke just outside the shop and my bottle of wine smashed and I returned just to say that I had bought other goods and was returning to buy another bottle but a staff member explained all to the manager and I was given a free bottle.

Card 2185 - I visit my local TESCO in Cannock Road, Wolverhampton several times each week. This is the second time I have been given a card when I have queried the lack of staff. This evening at peak time ie 5.45pm there was only one person on the tills and a never ending queue of customers. A waiting time in excess of 7-10 minutes is really not good enough. Also of concern is the number of empty shelves waiting to be restocked! You really need to improve the service to your customers such as myself.

Tesco opened a express store next door to my flat, the estate I live on can't handle the volume of traffic and I'm regularly nearly wiped out by cars reversing onto the road from the awful carpark, cars reverse down kerbs instead of entering and leaving the store correctly, it sucks, almost every car bottoms out as it enters the carpark, so all I hear is crunch , its a very poor show,

Anonymous said...

Tesco express, wootton rd, Abingdon. Great staff, very helpful, neat. Clean and well stocked but again I'm nearly run over as leaving, this is a badly planned car park, why not make the front car park for disabled and mums, make all other customers park at the side car park which is not used, its very dangerous as cars scrabble to get parked nr frt door, and reverse out onto the road across the path and down the kerb as other vehicles are all trying to park in the same front dozen spaces.this shop was formerly a pub the fitz arms, why invest all that money on a shiny new store but do nothing to the car park which was sufficient while it was a pub, WAITROSE wouldn't cut corners, wait till a child is flattened and then do something perhaps !!!

The Fisher family of Twickenham. we shop at Tesco every week and have always been satisfied, recently we had an economy drive and tried other shops. We started with local shops as much as we would like to support them most things are too expensive, so we tried an ALDI store most everything was cheaper but then so was the quality so we had to use twice as much.
So this week it was back to Tesco and we all feel better already.

Too often not enough staff to help.

I shop quite often at the Tesco mini shop in Frome 2497. All the staff are very helpful and polite and you are not kept waiting very long as they will bring staff off the floor if they become busy. It is a very busy shop and they are allways stacking shelves. Rarely do I see anyone just standing around chatting. I have on occasions though taken fruit and veg back as most of it had gone off before the expiry date which could be in as much as two/three more days. Also I have found just one item in a bag of veg or fruit that is off. Maybe this occurs in other non-Tesco stores and just happens. Not sure why you keep raising the prices on bread. All in all though everything is fine and I find it very user friendly.

card no. 2156.....I can not express how angry I was this morning friday 9th august ... I had a 1030 app at the optitions in TESCO BURSLEDON,I received a reminder by text yesterday and arrived promptly for my appointment this morning only to be told that there was no clinic today and that the Manager had contacted me to tell me .
I work full time (at another Tesco store as it happens ) and Friday is my only day off so I value my free time very much so why would I waste that time or valuable petrol to attend an appointment that I knew had been cancelled !!!!
True I did have a missed call on my phone from an unknown number this morning but on checking voice mail there was NO message .
The attitude of the staff was to shrug their shoulders and say the manager had contacted everyone and for me to make another app . I said tomorrow ( saturday ) after 1800 would be fine as I am away on hopiday from sunday ,no we cant do that ,strange as they are open till 1900 I was so disgusted by the service I received that I walked out .There was no apology or any attempt to placate me and right the wrong .
I would take my custom elsewhere but as I have already doubled up my Teco vouchers for the in store Opticians I have no option but to return there grudgeingly at a later date .
WIll there be any recompense ???.....every little helps .... I doubt it .
To end on a positive note the lady that served me at csd was very helpful and apologetic for my situation.

Just a suggestion, would it not be better and more convenient for your customers if you were to automatically deduct the various discount vouchers on items once the customer's Tesco card is handed over rather than send out vouchers by post.

This would not only save on postage but would be one less job for the checkout person to deal with. There's nothing worse than the assistant having to flick through and scan a batch of vouchers when they have a row of people waiting to be served.

Janette. I shop in Tesco Express in Prestwick Ayrshire and recently I have noticed a new layout in the store much to my disgust. Every time I've been in recently I never seem to be able to pick up my usual shopping. The Cold Meat section has been practically done away with. I couldn't get Wafer Thin Honey Roast Ham for packed lunches the kids don't like thick cut meat and this is the favourite one also this section is always looking untidy these days as the layout doesn't seem to fit. I noticed today a great big section of Laundry Products and Household, is this necessary and not more suited to a Supermarket. Tesco Express is supposed to be a Convenience Store where you can pick up things you have run out of like Stock Cubes, also no longer available, or something quick for Dinner or the Kids Tea. there's a Co-op across the Street which is notoriously Expensive and only used as a Convenience Store for that reason but I've had to go there several times recently because I can't pick up from you, like ingredients for a Salad etc. I was given this card by the Deputy Manager, a very pleasant chap called Derek and after listening to my comments he invited me to post my comments.

I shop in the Tesco situated in southhampton way, Peckham. On my visits to the store when I have had difficulties in locating certain items I have noticed a staff member by the name of Fawzi has been very helpful, time and time again he has delivered a great service experience, taking time to go out of his way to offer an alternative if the product I wanted was unavailable. Tesco need more staff members like Fawzi to ensure customers return for that great service we can no longer as customers take for granted.

I use the Tesco Express in Ludgershall and have found most of the staff extremely helpful. Caroline the manager is always friendly and efficient, but several of the older members of staff are miserable and surly and one lady will stand chatting whilst a queue of people are waiting to be served. The young staff are always polite and friendly

I use the Tesco store in Yeading. To be honest, I use Tesco because it is so close to where I live, it literally is my "local shop". If one of the other "higher quality" stores were closer, then I would probably use one of those. If it were a toss up, then I would probably use Tesco. I`ve NEVER had a problem there, the staff are polite and knowledgeable. The special deals suit me and they do a VERY wide range of products.

Card no 5919 I shop regularly at Tesco Express in Brixham. The staff are always polite and helpful but the store is too small resulting in narrow aisles and a limited selection of items. People in town hold varying opinions about the proposed plan to build a big new Tesco supermarket. I'm all for this. The sooner the better!

I was also given a card at the Chester le Street store number 2278 and was served by Mel.
No such website exists and I do not see the point of this pointless exercise.
This store is usually very good and I shop here regularly after work but have to agree with previous comments about the staff at the customer care desk as I have stood and waited at length while they continue to chat among themselves.
What is the point of asking for feedback and stating if we take part in the short survey we will receive clubcard points when it does not even exist.

We used to really like the "Old" Tesco in Watford -Waterfields for all our food shopping.
But the new one that we had to wait for and were promised great things! Well once you are through the entrance area you see just how little space for and food product range exists on shelves.
Huge area is given to fresh bread and vegetable areas with wide aisles as well as the Pharmacy Dept which is less busy but the aisles for and limited range of grocery type foods on the shelves and they are in ridiculously narrow aisles where far more people are concentrated resulting in trolley congestion.
These narrow aisles are often blocked with stock and scrap cardboard trolleys.
Too much fresh stock and locally prepared food disappears early in the evening.
We propose to use up our vouchers until Christmas and then do ALL our shopping at Sainsbury’s where we used to shop!

On Monday my husband and myself went to Tesco Workington store to spend our boost vouchers. we were unsure how we went about it and asked for assistance from a superviser named Lucy. she was wonderful. we wanted wine to give to the family as Christmas presents and she spent time and patience with us helping and advising us on all the various types on wine. she was extremely knowledgeable on the products and did not rush us and patiently explained all the nuances or the various wines. when we had made our chose took us to the checkout and explained how the boost vouchers worked and scanned them herself. we spent £100 on a great selection of quality wines thanks to her. My husband and myself are old age pensioners and I am deaf and she made what could have been difficult for us a pleasure. Our only concern was that we were going to purchase Finest Bisol Prosecco with our vouchers as it was the drink both our daughters had for their weddings but there was none available. ten out of ten Tesco for employing friendly, helpful and patient staff like Lucy.

However when I approach any of the staff it is always the busy ones in express who are happy to help, where the big shop staff do seem to think they are somewhat too important to help! Come on tesco, maybe it's time to get the express staff teaching their big store colleagues something about customer service and being friendly and approachable!!!!

I shop at Purley Tesco on a regular basis I appreciate we have good & bad days..but this visit was really something;-
The first trolley had a wonky wheel, I tried to notify the trolley attendant but he was not interested..I then eventually unhooked another. The store was busy the queue's long, I spotted a cashier who confirmed she was opening up,I therefore loaded my items onto the checkout, but the cashier couldnt log onto the till, the neighbouring cashier had to call for a supervisor to attend to the till, then the belt did not work I manualy moved all of my shopping along, then the scanner stops working after a lot of fiddling about, I ask the neighbouring cashier if she could put her light on "I've done it" came her curt reply yes thank you but we need her again, eventually after quite a long time the supervisor re appears to go beneath the till and resolve the problem, shopping eventually paid for then I made the fatal mistake of requesting cashback I received £50 in one pound coins! I said I would rather leave it but no she could not make the adjustment, we then went to customer services to queue up again...to exchange it for a £50 note,no thank you please can I have it in any other note form, great thank you,I then proceeded to leave the store, I was then approached by a security guard as I had set the alarms off so I was frog marched back in the store, after rummaging about in my shopping I realized the security tag had not been removed from the razor blades. I Showed my receipt to prove my purchase I was free to go hooray then to top it all off when I took the trolley back I discovered my £1 coin had obviously fallen out...We all have bad days but I recon this goes down in history. THE MOST DISTRESSING THING OF ALL IS NOT ONCE DID THE CASHIER APPOLOGISE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER CARE

We shop very regularly at Tesco's big store in Exeter. In the last couple of years the standards of supermarket service and general stocking has deteriorated greatly. The isles are obstructed by restocking and buying to deliver trollies. Why cannot this be done more during less busy times? Overhead signs can only be seen from the end of each isle.
Can the Managers be sent to see how Sainsbury and Waitrose do things?

I expected a specific website to enter my 'how your trip was' but this seems the only place to leave comments - I trust it IS the correct one!
I shopped at Tesco Bournemouth 10 May 2014 and can say that I found the experience without any major reasons to complain. Staff - and that includes the managers who help around the store, tidying shelves, stacking, helping with customers' queries - were obliging and helpful despite being busy and active. The Customer Help Desk is manned by the most efficient and patient ladies; always polite and with a total knowledge of the workings of the store. This is such a busy store and yet I cannot fault any aspects of the staff and their customer relations. Like most customers I can get frustrated trying to find certain items especially if the store is hectic but the staff seem to take difficult customers in their stride and maintain their calm and courtesy. Good service deserves praise and we often find it a chore to spend the time to say so; a complaint seems to have an incentive all of its own! Thank you Tesco. Mrs Wylde

I wonder why the CEO complains about the lack of profit lately!! Does his
Wife not shop at Tesco? The reason is that prices in tesco rise weekly. Any husband that gives his wife housekeeping knows that the cost of shopping at ANY tesco is becoming more and more expensive. Which is why Aldi and Lidl are fast overtaking them in the sales dept. When one day a 4 pack of say mars bars are £1 and the next they are 3 for £1'79it makes one wonder why so much of tesco produce is skipped each week.

We shop at the Hamilton store in Leicester there are good and bad points. The bad is that the prices and offers are often miss-leading with the offer on the shelf edge below the wrong size product. So when you get to the checkout the offer does not apply. The good is that the range of "hobby" magazines is excellent, I like "Black & White Photography" no one else seems to have it!

Yesterday I had to call at Tesco in Consett, Co. Durham.
The first thing to greet me was a wall of noise. Someone seems to think that playing Whitney Houston at full blast is okay, well, it is NOT. I called at the Phone Shop which is right next to "the noise" and could just say carry on a discussion with the gentleman serving.
Surely Health and Safety at Work regulations come into force when staff have to put up with incessant loud music, if you can call it that, all day long.
WHY do we, customers and staff, have music foisted on us when we just want to go about our daily business?

(Tesco's Wishaw) I haven't been using Tesco lately as I think they are over the top with their prices. I got some vouchers in the other day so I decided I would give them an other go. I managed to get some really good clearance wine at £3.65 a bottle & some delicious multi grain farmhouse bread. Unfortunately that's where it stopped. I went to the cold meat counter and walked away with only 1/2lb of the best looking meat. (I WOULD NORMALLY HAVE BOUGHT 2 OR 3 DIFFERENT KINDS) All the cold meat was dried up and not pleasing to the eye. The butcher meat was exactly the same although the lady behind the counter gave me meat from the fridge. I don't know if she would have if I'd only been buying a small amount. I don't usually buy packet meat, I usually like to pick fresh meat from the deli. I almost never buy meat from a supermarket but I gave it a go to save me a trip to the butchers. The cold meat counter in Tesco's was always very inviting but not now. I must say though, the staff were very helpful & friendly.
